Okay, so now that I can talk about it I can give the real story behind my last post. It was the funnest session ever because Dylan asked Blair to marry him, right as I was taking photos! Egads indeed! I discovered that photographing people during such an important moment is amazing! The emotion is amazing. (Hmmm, does this reveal a little bit of a voyeur in me -I think yes.) Some day I would love to be a wedding photographer, it just doesn't happen to fit in with my young family right now, but this confirmed to me that indeed I do love photographing people in love and special moments like this. Sigh, so thank you Blair and Dylan for having me photograph this for you! Loved it!

{D} Family
What a fun family session! Bless their hearts, these guys were game for anything and with a little bit of candy for encouragement these kids just kept going and going. I am in love with their images, it was very difficult to pick a few to showcase here, but here goes:
Check out the ginger hair, and those awesome blue/green eyes, wow! He is going to be a heartbreaker.
Mom had an idea to photograph the little lady in her grad dress as she loves to play dress up in it. Isn't it adorable?! Seriously, so darn cute!
The other brothers were looking pretty handsome too.
Enjoy your sneak peak guys, and thanks for having me photograph you!

These guys were awesome to photograph, I had so much fun with them tonight! They were game to try anything I asked, and I think we got some pretty good shots. It is too hard to decide which one is my favourite, so I have to post all that I managed to edit tonight. Enjoy your sneak preview Ashleigh and Taylor!

Otis
My dear friend Jess is in town and we had to go out to "my truck" and take some photos. We actually named him, Otis, for Otis Redding of course. If the gentleman that owns this awesome vehicle ever decides that he doesn't want it anymore I will be crying my eyes out for the loss of this, my biggest photography prop.
Jess has to be one of the most gorgeous people I know, as you can see from these photos. Amazing! Thanks for the fun Jess!

{L} Portraits
This beautiful lady is currently one of my co-workers, but sadly will be leaving us in a few short weeks. I've always appreciated her sunny disposition and can do attitude, and she will be sorely missed. We had a work retreat at Fort Edmonton Park recently and we took the opportunity to take a few photos afterward. I've really never had the desire to live in the country before. I live in a small town, but that's been country enough, no farm for me. However, as I've become more interested in photography I've had this intense desire to own land so that I can bring in my own photography props. If I ever did have the space, (and land with an old rail line!), I would definitely be on the hunt for an old rail car. Sigh, it's gorgeous! I know, silly, but a girl can dream, right?
Workshop Photos
I have been super busy since attending the Nichole Van photography workshop in Salt Lake City in March. Life truly has been a whirlwind, albeit a good one. I learned so much with Nichole, and had a great time. Here's a couple of shots from our practice session. Grads are so much fun to photograph, all the drama and fun of a wedding minus the big day stress. :) These girls were gorgeous too, that doesn't hurt!

Such an Awesome Girl!
I met {A} in Salt Lake City this spring. She is a friend and neighbour of my sister and helped to watch my daughter while I took a photography course for a few days. She is just the nicest person, and beautiful, I had lots of fun taking her photos!
